NM Wineries

Wine growing was first introduced to New Mexico in response to early settler demand. Fransciscan monks accompanied early settlers to the Rio Grande area where the demand for wine to use in sacrament became great. Great enough, that in 1629, the very first vines were planted in New Mexican soil. Today, there are over 1,200 acres of vineyards across the state.

The goal of this portal is to provide a resource to connect potential wine growers and consumers to some of the major businesses that sustain the wine industry of New Mexico today. Each link leads directly to the home page of an individual New Mexico winery.
