The newsletter focuses on floristic and taxonomic information of interest to the botanists of the state, such as new state records, nomenclatural notes and explanations, brief taxonomic summaries, pertinent literature, reports of inventories and theses, threatened and endangered species, announcements and reports of meetings and conferences, and the like. Additionally, a A Directory of New Mexico Botanists (basically, those subscribing to the newsletter) is maintained by the editor.
