Grasslands are found in the basin floors and lower bajada slopes of the Malpais Borderlands. Some plant species found in this habitat are Blue Grama, Sideoats Grama, Hairy Grama, Soaptree Yucca, and Cane Bluestem. This habitat is the home of many reptiles. and arthropods.
